Professional History:

Doug started his career in accounting and business advisory in 1996, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in New Zealand in 1999. Doug joined the Wolrige Mahon Corporate Finance team in March 2005 and focuses on financial advisory services, transition planning & sale of business; and valuation services. 

Doug is presently completing his Chartered Business Valuators designation with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators.

Recent Projects Include

• Corporate Growth / Preparation for sale.  Assisted client with business development and financial management, which has seen the business grow tenfold from 2006 to 2009. Financial management process is part of 5 year divestiture strategy, which Wolrige Mahon has a mandate to sell at that time.
   
• Divestiture of group of companies in metal finishing industry:  Development of divestiture strategy, Preparation of company for sale, completion of marketing package, sourcing of potential acquirers. Negotiation of deal and advisory through to transaction close.
   
• Shareholder Dispute Negotiations:  including acting on behalf of a shareholder in a complex divestiture process involving a large publicly listed US corporation.
   
• Model audits for P3 projects:  Review of the integrity of complex financial models prepared for lenders and government in connection with certain P3 infrastructure projects.
   
• Valuations: of a broad range of companies, including software, professional services, manufacturing and retail.
